Third CCPBioSim/CCP5 Multiscale Modelling Conference

Event Details

The collaborative computational projects for biomolecular and condensed matter simulation, CCPBioSim and CCP5, are holding their third international conference on the theme of multiscale modelling in Manchester, UK. The three-day event will bring together leading researchers from biological and materials chemistry to discuss topics of common interest across the spectrum of electronic structure, atomistic and mesoscopic scales and to address the current and future challenges posed by multiscale modelling.

The conference will begin at lunchtime on Monday 21st May and finish at lunchtime on Wednesday 23rd May 2018. The full timetable will be confirmed nearer to the event date.


Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to contribute a lecture or poster presentation. Abstracts should be submitted to by Wednesday 28th February 2018, with a subject of "2018 Multiscale Modelling Conference Contributed Talk Abstract" or "2018 Multiscale Modelling Conference Poster Abstract". Please note that we are unable to consider your abstract unless you have registered for the event.

  • Monday 9th April: Registration closes.

A limited number of bursaries for graduate students will be awarded after the conference. Please indicate on the registration form if you are a graduate student and wish to apply for a bursary. Bursaries will be awarded based on available funds and will be paid as a partial refund of the registration fee.

£175 - early registration fee when booked before Wednesday 28th February 2018.
£215 - standard fee until close of registration.

The registration fee includes lunch on all three days, tea/coffee breaks and a conference dinner on the evening of 22nd May.
Payment is due on registration and must be received within 7 days.
