HL-LHC-UK Kick-off meeting

Event Details

The HL-LHC project at CERN aims to get a 10 fold increase in the luminosity of the LHC. The UK will contribute to the accelerator part of this project through the HL-LHC-UK collaboration funded by CERN and STFC. The HL-LHC-UK project is a collaboration between the Universities of Manchester, Lancaster, Liverpool, Southampton and Royal Holloway as well as STFC and CERN. The project will look at prototyping of the collimators, crab cavities, beam diagnostics and cold powering.

This meeting is the official kick-off for the HL-LHC-UK project. In the morning there will be a management committee meeting in Seminar Room C and in the afternoon there will be a series of talks on the project in Walton Rooms A & B.  The afternoon session is open to all.
