Second CCPBioSim/CCP5 Multiscale Modelling Conference

Event Details

The collaborative computation projects for biomolecular and condensed matter simulation, CCPBioSim and CCP5, are holding a second international conference on the theme of multiscale modelling in Manchester, UK, following on from the first held in January 2014. The three-day event will bring together leading researchers from biological and materials chemistry to discuss topics of common interest across the spectrum of electronic structure, atomistic and mesoscopic scales and to address the current and future challenges posed by multiscale modelling.

PROGRAMME

The conference will begin at lunchtime on Wednesday 13th April and finish at lunchtime on Friday 15th April. The full timetable will be confirmed nearer to the event date.

CONTRIBUTED ORAL AND POSTER PRESENTATIONS

Please indicate on the registration form if you wish to contribute a lecture or poster presentation. Abstracts should be submitted to cse_conferences@stfc.ac.uk by Monday 1st February, with a subject of "2016 Multiscale Modelling Conference Contributed Talk Abstract" or "2016 Multiscale Modelling Conference Poster Abstract". Please note that we are unable to consider your abstract unless you have registered for the event.

IMPORTANT DEADLINES

  • Monday 1st February: Full abstracts for posters and contributed talks to be submitted to cse_conferences@stfc.ac.uk.
  • Monday 1st February: End of early bird registration period.
  • Monday 29th February: Registration closes - fees due.

BURSARIES
A limited number of bursaries for graduate students will be awarded in April. Please indicate on the registration form if you are a graduate student and wish to apply for a bursary. Bursaries will be awarded based on available funds and will be paid as a partial refund of the registration fee.

£160 - early registration fee when booked before Monday 1st February.
£200 - standard fee until close of registration.

The registration fee includes lunch on all three days, tea/coffee breaks and a conference dinner on the evening of 14th April.
